Alison was inspired by her garden and the beaches of Colonsay to make photographic cushions that bring the Outside In!
The website is an "ecommerce" shop selling Alison’s cushions but also a blog for her travels, gardens and West Coast of Scotland living.
Photography
Alison & her cushion collections allowed for some fairly quirky photo-shoots! We chose to show the cushions in the outdoor environments that inspired them. Between the ‘never-work-with-animals-shoot’ (trying to surround a chair with sheep), and the ‘battle with the tide shoot’ (getting wet feet at Seacliff beach) - we certainly got some original shots! Combining natural and strobe lighting we were able to produce some striking results.
Blogging
The blog is highly integrated into the site allowing stories of the cushions' creation and inspirations to add value. The blog also provides a creative outlet for Alison's Instagram photography, writing and musings. Fresh, seasonal updates give reasons to return to the site again and again.
